Brief Introduction:

Mr. K. Thomas Li is the managing member of the firm. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

The primary field of Mr. Li’s practice is U.S. immigration law. For more than a decade, Mr. Li has appeared on behalf of his clients in front of the  U.S. Courts of Appeals, the U.S. District Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”), Immigration Courts, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”), and other immigration related authorities. Counsel has a nation-wide practice in immigration courts and USCIS in Maryland, Virginia, California, New York, New Jersey, Texas, Louisiana, and Ohio. In 2008, Counsel successfully argued in front of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in an immigration case Anim v. Mukasey, (535 F,3d, 243 (4th Cir., 2008)). The case was designated as a precedent by the Fourth Circuit - a Circuit having jurisdiction over Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Counsel has written numerous legal opinions on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions for use in State Courts in Maryland and Virginia.

Mr. Li also represents small businesses in contracts, sales of property/business and other legal matters.
